it is hard to tell from the video, now that i look for tire spin i can't really say i see any. but it would spin going 70mph with those same tires. if i could spin them on the street with an easy punch going 70, don't you think they could spin on the dyno? i know both are rediculous but i know the tires are spinning going that fast, 1 because i can feel it, 2 because there was rubber all over the back bumper. there are several other dyno pulls on video where it did the same thing. the guy who dyno'd my car was laughing at me about it. there was a loop in my hp curve.

That's what I was talking about too..the ET STREET Radials..then again the suspension was a little off..

I don't have a graph yet, but that is estimating it from very similar setups..and from some tech's here and there..

Spinning like that isn't something to brag about... I was hooking fine in 2nd gear with over 500rwhp / 550rwtq to the wheels on 555r's.

Some people have got them to hook, some people spin their *** off with them..
I had to get my Suspension dialed in and change the Springs. It's close, we'll wee how it does in the track...

[QUOTE=BADHAWK51]Running Hoosier 28/11.50/15

What size rim is that? And did you have to do any mods for that size tire?

The suspension will leave wheels up on the slicks with a 200 shot so even thow i don't have $1000 in the suspension I would say it is working. No wheel hop at all. If only changing the tires makes that type of difference I will run the slicks. So keep yor band-aiding comments to yourself. If you have suggestons you can say it a little differently.

This post was about slicks and I said what I ran. Plain and simple.

When did you last check the pinion angle on the adjustable torque arm? I'm a fan of -2. LCA's always help, doing good there. However the panhard, driveshaft and 12 bolt aren't helping you hook. Do you still have the stock DeCarbon shocks on the car? You didn't "upgrade" to Bilsteins or anything of the ilk?

Ultimately, it's your car. Do what makes you happiest. If throwing steam rollers under the car is the best soloution in your mind, then by all means, do it. Personally, I'd rather maximize my combo and not leave a single tenth on the table.

i agree with you bird of prey, i think some big slicks would definitely help. but i think theres some other tweaking to be done first. the last time i checked the pinion angle was when i put my took my 19s off several weeks ago. i set it at -2 according to the angle of the driveshaft to the angle of the bottom of the rear end housing, would that be the right angle?

my mt dr cut 1.4 60' with no suspension mods and i run mid to low 6's in the 1/8 mile...

no problem hooking on a track, or on the street....i know many many 600+rwhp 9 sec cars that run them

I used to run 28x10.5W ET Drags but recently with my new engine combo yet to be tested have swapped to a 325/50/15 MT Drag Radial.... I expect mid 1.3 60 foot times and low 9 to high 8 second quarters with no traction issues...

It's all in your suspension setup and having the car scaled.... Suspensions are finicky and if all you **** isn't setup by someone who knows what they are doing you will never hook....

im running the stock t-56, with 4.11 gears.
Funny, I'm making alot more power than you and not spinning 275/50/15 ET Streets @ 70 mph with a converter that hits hard as ****.

Stock suspension.

This sounds like a "I spun my tires @ xx mph" e-**** fest

seems like a few guys on this forumn seem to think its kool that they can spin their tires at 70 mph..and flaunt it....sounds like bs to me...exspecially on a d/r or slick...i mean ive seen 1500+ rwhp turbo cars hook from 40 on bfg d/r so i doubt these 400 hp cars are spinning that bad unless they are revving it p and dumping the clutch
in that case my 250rwhp daily spins from 60 roll
