Not a fan of the u-bolt style clamps pacesetter supplies. They seal by crimping the tubing, which sucks when you want to take the exhaust back off. I got band clamps instead.

I'm not sure if they changed their style gaskets, but the paper junk I got did not go on my car. I got some felpro ones, but I know there are nicer ones out there even better than felpro.

One thing you might of forgot are o2 sensor extensions. The stock wiring harness isn't long enough for those headers.

Tools, patience, and o2 extensions. If your doing this on the ground your going to have to get it at least 2.5 feet off the ground.

It would make it easier. I couldn't get that high, and mine went in from the top without tons of effort. Install took roughly 15 hours in the apt. parking lot with no power tools, no lights, and quite a few broken manifold to y-pipe bolts. It might have been a much shorter job if I wasn't dehydrated, hungry, and delirious at the end of it.

Have fun! When you finish it up and fire it with open headers at 230 in the morning...somehow it's all worth it.

My LT's should be coming in today... Can't wait to install them lol. Anyways, where can I find the o2 extensions? My o2's on the headers are cut off so would it be cool if I just cut my o2 and stick it in there instead of getting an extension for no reason.

You cut your o2 sensors? The front ones?? I hope your kidding

I wouldn't suggest soldering up your own o2 extensions with the pacesetter wires. It's a very sensitive, low-voltage wire and 9/10 people have problems with the custom way.

No I didn't cut anything. When I got my car tuned I told the guy who was tuning it that I was planning on running long tube headers within a month or so, so he decided to TURN OFF the rear o2 sensors, the air injection, and also the egr stuff. He said the car will run fine with the long tubes and I should have no problems and the computer should not throw a code. If it does throw a code, it will not affect how the car is running.

dynomax bandclams are $9.99 and stainless steel. id invest in 4 of them for the Y pipe. U bolts suck ***.

make sure you get OEM gaskets or felpros. and also make sure you put some anit sieze on the header bolts. i put it on so they dont freeze up in the heads and they havent backed out or anything.

another thing, make sure you clean the head surface to your best ability so the new gaskets will seal their best. and clean the bolt holes with a Q tip so the new ones will thread in easy.

o2 extensions are your friend. take 1 min each to connect and zip tie out of the way. you need 1 12" and 1 24". beats the hell out of butt connecting and soldering a sensitive and important wire.

You need extensions for your front o2's with longtubes. Us pre-96 guys never had rear o2's to begin with.
