Default to install a cam

do i need a cam degreeing tool when i install my cam in my lt1.

the timing and cam sprokets have dots, I believe when #6 is tdc the dots match

degreing the cam is to verify if the cam specs are up to par with the spec sheet .....and also if you want to play (advance or retard ) to play with the torque curve
if you are not use to this, install the gears acordingly and you should be happy
