It is a pretty tacky door chime, but it's an F-Body from the 90's what do you expect? I would leave it in there it will save your battery when you forget about those lights.

I cant remember how it is on my camaro, but on my grand prix you can just push the latch in by finger. I believe i used to just wedge something against that little button. Its been months since ive actually been inside my camaro.

or take the column apart and pull out the white little clip with two terminals hanging from it. but you have to take the lock cylinder and all apart when you do it. i had to replace my cylinder anyways, so i went ahead and snatched that POS out. or get on the matco truck, KD tools makes a "DOOR BUZZER SANITY TOOL" <-- seriously what its called
