AIR and EGR won't free up ponies like it did in the past. The 52MM and CAI wasn't a mistake, but you'll need to tune your car to make up for the bigger TB if it's a 4L60E.

TB is overkill, but won't necessarily hurt you. Open up your exhaust starting with headers to benefit.

i have a 95 m6 as well. cai made a noticeable difference.cant go wrong with it if you ask me. felt more hp and you could even notice how much better it was breathing. engine cooled better when you were moving and seemed to make my exhaust just a tiny bit louder. the intake manifold may need to be port matched to the tb,im not sure.hopefully someone else will chime in.i have heard that it will leave a lip that your air will be running into. keep that thing in the box til someone who knows gives you the go ahead! if the tune is stock than a 160* thermostat and a tune would keep it cooler and you could turn off traction control, etc.

ok. you should learn how a stick shift works. 5th and 6th gear are overdrive gears, they are meant for gas mileage and VERY VERY high speeds... not for hard acceleration. If you're doing about 55-65mph and u want to punch it, id put it in 3rd... then see how your car feels.

LOL +1 to that. If I remember correctly you can go up to a 52mm TB WITHOUT porting the intake manifold. Why would you even ask if it was a mistake? Did it help your car perform better? Chances are if you answer that question with a yes, the opposite would be the answer to "did I waste my money?".

how the hell do i know im havent got it on the car yet thats why i was wondering if i fucked up and bought something i didnt need. when im going down the highway i usually do downshift into 3rd at 65 and under but im usually going about 80-90 so i either downshift to 5th or just leave it in 6th unless i want to go real fast real quick then i hit 4th and carry 4th to 125 then 5th ive only had 5th to 140

and a couple more small ?s are the stock injector tops purple? and do those airfoil things really work? i know this next one doesnt havent to do with performance but what would cause the rearend to sit farther to the right by about 2 inches difference?

since you have the aftermarket throttlebody you wont need an airfoil.if you want to spend 40-50 bucks on something, get an lt4 knock module or put it towards a tune-or maybe towards an intake elbow so you can get rid of the funky resonator piece.just some suggestions.
