So im lookin at gettin a new stall...and im gonna be spraying. But ive been looking around and ive noticed some have something called an anti balloon plate. Its supposed to help with cars that spray. Ive honestly never heard of this, but i dont know a whole lot about stalls. What the hell is that lol? And is it necessary for like...200-250 shot?
Anthing over 75hp your gonna want a converter with anti ballooning plates. Basicly the extra hp will cause the converter to expand/balloon. When the converter expands it is forced to far into the trans, and all hell breaks loose. With the setup you have listed in your signature, you might want to think about steping up to a th400.

Any good conveter should have a Billet cover and a large flanged hub. The billet cover and flanged hub act as the ballon plates.
I am also still running my 4L60E

So if I go with just likeTCI 3600 think ill be good? Because I couldnt find any with Anti-balloon plates on summit. Maybe im just blind though...?
TCI's rep is wishy washy, at least in the Fbody world. A Vig, Yank, or Edge will have what you're looking for and are the big 3, at least in this forum. A 4l60e can probably take the abuse for a while if they're built right. The drawback is the expense. However, a good build of the 4l60e will only cost you as much as the initial A3 swap.
Yeah dont cheap out with TCI on this one...I almost made the same mistake and went with TCI but decide to go EDGE and havent looked back..trust me you wont be disappointed with a good quality converter
