Default Do we have torque management???

I'm going to get a tune soon and was wondering it we have torque management on our lt1s, or is it an ls1 thing. Thanks

I am fairly sure it was with ODB2's, I will go check my TUNER CATS program later, I am 99% they didnt have that.

tq management? aint that a ford thing?.. Ive got ASR on my camaro... just a worthless gizmo that ***** me up when I forget to turn it off imo

In LS1 4L60e's I know for certain has a option in the tables to allow the transmission to hold back power, thus ensuring longer trans life. This doesnt help for all out performance, once the TQ management is turned off, that transmission's life is indeed suspect.

What your refering to is Traction Control.

I belive they started that in 96. I know I have a 94 and it doesnt have it

OK cool. No I dont have Traction control either I was just wondering is torque management was in the lt1 cars pcm.

really? does it have a switch like the asr or do you have to reprogram the pcm to turn it off? and why did gm do this, arnt t56's rated for 400hp/450tq or w/e the numbers are i know its higher than what a stock ls1 pumps out..
edit:dirrr nvm 4l60E hehe mixed myself up good on that one
