Default Leave it in or take it out?

I will be doing a cam swap this winter and was wondering if i should do it with the motor in the car. i have a garage, but its not that big. would it be worth the hassle to take it out?

For a cam swap just pull the radiator, waterpump, opti, and timing cover etc. You should be good that way, dont think you need to go through the hassle of pulling motor unless you rebuild it.

yea, i was 2 seconds away from pulling my motor to do my cam swap. Good thing i didnt cause it was real easy. Just remember you MUST! loosen up the oil pan bolts and lower it to get the timing cover off/on. I didnt know that untill i already pulled it off and you CAN NOT put the cover back on unless you drop the pan. And i ended up having to replace the pan gasket, not easy! So leave the motor in the car, drop the pan down about 1'' and your golden!

Thanks for the help/tips. Keep them coming please.

Do you suggest loosening just the front oil pan bolts, all the way around?
