Hey boys and girls!

Opinions here would great. I am turning my 95 Vet LT1 into a 383 stroker motor. I went by the shop today and they said the heads were flowing 270. The owner of the shop told me its not worth my time to invest in after market heads for what I am trying to get out of it.

1 - Has anyone on here safley gotten a better number then that on stock heads?

2 - What would it cost and who makes high performance heads for this motor? What would the gain be and is it worth the money?

Some background info... This car will never see the track, its in a 84 El Camino thats mostly for show (has shaved door handles so I can't take it to the track) but I do enjoy playing with my friends viper and new vete... I only seriously race once every few months and its usually against some kid who blew his life savings at discount auto parts on his Honda and I want to embarass him infront of his friends.
