yea......52Kmi on my 95 lol its not dead but when it gets pissed its undrivable, so yea i'm swapping it right now. Not sure, its most likely just the cap n rotor but i don't like to do the same job twice if i dont have to. Delteq is a beautiful set up if you run your car hard on mod. ignitions

With the MSD adapter harness it's almost easier to unplug that and plug it back into the coil

Ellis, I know quite a few people who run aftermarket boxes on optis. I dont think I've read of any of them having a failure due to do the box.

Better go look man. High voltage is the killer. I run ALOT of it. I am running a HIGH volt 20 year old MSD 6T NASCAR box.

My car does not like to idle with out it.

I also have mine setup for the bypass and it always helps me find out when I have fried the cap and rotor out of another opti.

14K is the most I have gotten out of one with out picking up a miss around 6,800 RPMs. I change the cap and rotor now(not an option in the old days) and off we go again

Alright I get to bust out with this again! I had 124k on the nonvented opti. Probably was getting ready to need changing 30k before that. it still ran when I replaced it and looked like this inside:

So if people are going through so many optis, why don't they just run the delteq system?

They must be very lucky. I've read about your opti problems. Maybe they get by because they're not shifting as high as what you are

Because for some of us teh Delteq and the LTCC wont stay in sync with our systems. Ask PEPE' about the LTCC

I can tell you I personaly spent over $2500 trying to get the Delteq to work on my car. We tried every combo possible. In the end I had to pull it off and sell it. The system just will NOT work on my car.
