Default Having a couple of problems.

I am putting my car back together from a cam swap. I took off the EGR and was wondering if i need to have the solenoid on the side of the intake on or can i just take it off, and also do i need to plug the whole where the vacuum lines go into it. The last thing is i can't figure out how to put the opti back on with the shaft that connects to the back of it. How does it go into the cam? Does it just sit there? Its a 94 Firebird Formula. Thanks Calvin

yes you can lose the solenoid on the intake.. Just plug the hole..
Here is a pic of the opti drive.. Just match them up and it should slide right in..
