I know the uncoated ones do, not sure about the coated ones though. Its also due to all the oil on your hands when installing them.

yea mine burt and smelled horrible i was the last man in the pack because i felt bad for any one behing me

painted and coated headers will smell for awhile..my coated took 3-4 days until NO SMELL at all...patience.

yup, even the coated ones will smoke for a minute or two. Always stinks something fierce
