Key fob isnt communicating with the car.

Key fob isnt communicating with the car. This pertains to my SS.
Um, a few days ago my key fob quit locking my car. So i assumed that the battery finally died after 10 years of use. But i replaced the sucker today and now the car and key fob arnt communicating, is there a procedure i need to do?
Any ideas mates?

Try reprogramming it. Just a thought.
