I have a feeling, all priced out separately, it'd be well under that. I'm thinking around $1K cheaper at least.

At least?? No.

LT4 Heads.... at least $1000
Intake... what are they $400?
Roller rockers... $200?
Lifters.... aint they kinda pricy anyways?
Gaskets $100
Head bolts $60
And ca.. not sure price of lt4 cam... $200??

so about 2k??

That is a rough *** guess... but not 1k cheaper... It is probably pretty close

And to think you could spend less on stock ported heads/cam and gain twice the power.

unported stock heads boltons and an 847/306 would get you more.

Under IDEAL engine only dyno conditions the LT4 HOT kit with the GM intake made 425fwhp, nobody is claiming the Edelbrock intake is anything beyond decent and sofar the results look poor for the price on it.

A good ported LT1 heads and cam package can make 400+ at the TIRES which is much more than 425 flywheel.

I wonder what that same cam would do with LT4 heads? Might be an interresting test?

The heads flow a lot more than STOCK LT1 heads. 250ish vs 210ish. The hot cam used to be "hot", now it's sort of just ordinary. It's not bad mind you, it's just that there is a lot of better stuff out there. A bone-stock LT4 'Vette will dyno near the 300hp mark at the wheels, about 45-50 more than an LT1 'Vette. It's a solid package, but NOT WORTH the money you'll pay. The heads are like 1300-1400 bucks, and you NEED the LT4 intake because the ports are slightly raised. So figure 1800 at least for the heads/intake. Now go to AI or LE and see what 1800 bucks will get you, lol. Your money is better spent on the aftermarket porters.

Most of what you wrote is good but I highlighted one piece you were wrong on.
The LT4 head ports are NOT RAISED they are taller, the floor is in the same spot, and the LT4 intake is internally the same as an LT1 intake meaning the ports are smaller than the LT4 head ports, there is just more material above the port to seal above the taller port in the head. Guys have used LT1 intakes on LT4s, the sealing margin is narrow but it has been done.
