Default Dynojet Wideband Commander?

I don't know if I'll get more hits here or in the nitrous section but i frequent here more so here it goes...

A guy in my town is selling a Dynojet WBC for EXTREMELY cheap ($200) and I plan to buy it since I want to spray my car next year. From what I have read they seem to be the best wideband out. Am I correct on this? Also should I check anything out before I buy it to make sure everything works? Like does the sensor go bad or anything? I don't know about widebands which is why I'm making this post. I don't want to buy defective stuff. And my last question is does this do anything else besides monitor A/F ratio?

Edit: Does this go into an existing 02 sensor bung or do I need to weld in a new one? If I need another bung where does it need to be welded at in the exhaust?

I have setup a few systems using the WBC as the primary N2O controler.

It has TPS and RPM inputs and a programable outputs. This makes it a TPS sensing Window switch that watches A/F while shooting juice into your engine.

What more would you need for most sytems

Cool so if I run this I won't need another window switch? What if I'm also getting the Mallory 685?

I'm asking because my other friend in town has a FJO for his setup and his does everything you can imagine. I just want to know what the WBC will actually do. I still plan on getting all the safety equip. for the wet kit though but that will be when I can afford it. I want to jump on this because its a better deal than $500 for a new one.

Only thing the WBC does not do that the FJO does is solenoid ramping and first gear lock out.

I actually have both

Magazine tests are admitted not great sources of information but http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...tout/index.php
the dynojet did not rank well.

When I searched the nitrous section this is one of the best widebands out! I'll take peoples own experiences over a magazine. No offense to you of course.

I agree magazines are usually bad sources. I also think that the systems that recalibrate have a signifigant advantage.

I trust Ellis but at the same time have come to learn lots of happy customers does NOT mean a good product, just means people are convinced it is a good product. Most people on the b-body board will tell you Golen makes a great engine, that is NOT the case, servicable would be a more accurate description.

I have used the DynoJet WideBand for almost 2 years now.
Great product and a great tuning tool. Although My car is strictly a Bracket car the O2's in mine have been omitted plus I'm running speed density mode now. But I'm able to record RPM's and IAT (Intake Air Temp) or (Throttle Position). Usually I will record RPM's and IAT, this way you can tell the relationship between IAT and your AFR.
