My friend claims that he just bought a 96z with a lt4.. I have heard of these cars but really dont know what the difference is between them an a lt1. So.. what is it? lol.. He is typically full of s*$& and was saying that they had like 50hp more than a lt1 from the factory.. So, whats the story?

1996 Z didn't come factory with it..the 1997 30th Edition did, and they are rare.

He could possibly have one that someone put/built in there..

 

most likely the previous owner put the thing in...or the intake was just painted red.

 

The LS1 guys are more afraid of the LT4's
