fastest stock interal Bolt on LT1
Looking for the records of the fastest stock motor with just bolt ons and weight reduction LT1, no nitrous etc..... Anyone know were I can find the records? In the list in the sticky it's all over the place and man I can't see any just bolt on cars. They're all built up. I want to know what's the fastest a stock internal LT1 with just bolts/weight reduction did at the track.

take a ticket and step in line.....
11.83 is the record...
and i kno John P. (1slowformula) has hit 12.0 in bad weather and claims he has way more in it...
i am too going after the record eventually prolly in a few years... wat kind of times have u made so far? what are your mods?

it is so difficult to cut 11's with just boltons.
I'll make it simple for ya. Most people have their full interior in their fbody. so you get some rear suspension, some gears, new shifter (if your a m6), longtubes, true duals, etc. get yourself dyno tuned and slap on some drag radials. wiht a decent hook, you can cut an average of 1.7 - 1.8 60'. THis would put you in the 12.5-12.7 area. dont expect 11's with headers, good shifting, and your passenger seat removed. its much harder to get into the 11's than you think.
hope this hepled you out.

Shon has a pretty good lock on the record. I don't think its impossible to beat his record, but it will take alot of tricks and work to get past his ET. I'm in a full weight WS6 LT1 T/A every single item is still in the car and my best pass so far is in my sig. I have picked up another 15 hp along the way since I ran that number in 2001, but I have since had a dyno-tune from ED wright , E-Cutout and a few other tricks, so I'm betting I could run a 12.30 @ 110/111 ish something with full weight WS6 LT1. I think 12.20/30 will be about as fast as you can get with a full weight LT1 T/A without taking out some weight, JMO ?

I thought 10.4ish was the record because someone here almost broke it just a few months back and he was like 10.6.
I dunno, maybe I'm thinking 11.8, because 1slowFormula I'm pretty sure is who I remember making a run for it.

I can only cut .1 off his time with a cam and ported heads(N/A), but am full weight. With some weight reduction and slicks I am sure I can pull mid 11s consistantly, but that time is incredible for bolt-ons.

I remember seeing that thread recently. Insane numbers for a basically stock motor, but he is running a huge shot, something like 200 hp I believe

car was 3180ish, that was the last RW we were able to get but had removed a few more pounds after that weight. and that is with a 230-240#driver (Russ).
My 11.80 is breakable!! and would not be that hard to do, but you got to try!!
what is funny, is that was not the best run in the 60 or 1/8th, it had 1.53 before and had been 7.45 just a few weeks before in the 1/8th mile track.
If anyone wants help please contact me, I will help you get there!
