The 132k mile motor I did this with was sprayed ALOT, more than I thought when I got the car but it all worked out.

We were running a stock replacement clutch but on the last pass we had a Spec stage 2 for a mustang, ie 1/2" too small (less rotating weight, LMAO).
I mention the clutch b/c alot of people think you need a twin disk or something crazy, but you dont....you want some spin from the tires and some slip in the clutch-but not too much. Remember you are not making any power....

We were going to swap over to a TH350 set up but the motor didnt last long enough....

Sorry, I was wrong, didnt have my logs with me...it was 72' when that run was made. I will be editing my first post about it.

Let me know if I can help you. it's alot of fun to run 11s with bolt ons in an LT1 when some of the LS1s with more stuff or the LT1s with cams are having problems....

Meh, 72' of air is still incredible! Lowest I have ever seen is low 3000s.

What kind of weight reduction are you guys doing with the times in the high 11's and 12's. Im trying to get my car as fast as i can with bolt-ons and suspension.

Check the link to Shon's car that someone posted on the first page of this thread. He gave a pretty detailed list of his weight reduction. Personally I wouldn't gut the car in your sig. It's just too pretty!

take out whatever is not needed for the car to make a 1/4mile pass...it's that simple. and then pick all other bolts ons based on weight.
