Default Caddilac racing lifters

anyone have these on thier LTX, how do they work. I just want a quiet lifter that is gonna work good, and those seem to be the best and priced right.

i have a compXFi 230/236 with comp 1.6 SA Pro-Mags, comp pro-magnum push rods and Crane99893-16 springs, are these lifters the best for my setup?

also on the comps they needed 1/2 turn preload, ive heard the caddys need 1-1/2 preload is this right??

are the ls7 lifters quiet, i want my valve train to be silent excluding the sa rockers. How much preload do you guys set them at with Roller rockers.
Thanks

You want a silent valvetrain then shaft mounts and almost any decent hydraulic roller lifter is what you need.

When setting preload stud size needs to be considered due to different thread count per inch. 1 turn on a 3/8 stud is less preload than 1 turn on a 7/16 stud.

ProMagnum rockers are not that quiet, they are very good but in my experiance some of the aluminuium rockers are quieter.

Doubt those spring will control that cam, the XFI lobes were designed specifically to take advantage of the capabilities of beehive springs. Frankly I would probably look at keeping the springs and getting rid of that cam. The XFI series are not living up to the hype surrounding them.
