i'm no expert , but how does the poster wanting the ms4 cam specs on an lt1 cam have anything to do with firing order? All he's wondering is if it is possible to run that duration, lift , in an lt1 motor.

You can run any lift and duration within reason. The results may not be worth the money. But I would have to agree that that cam works well in the LS motor because of the head ports and valve placements. Not the best chioce for us.

People get away with running big cams in relatively stock LS1's because of 2 things. The intake manifolds flow very well, and the cylinder heads flow EXCEPTIONALLY well for a bone-stock car. Yes you can run a big cam on the street without a problem, BUT you WILL need a good tune. The post up on the first page with the 3 cams listed for stock heads is a good idea. The comp 503 is great with stock heads. Firing order has absolutely nothing to do with picking a cam based on lift and duration. It does have everything to do with he 4/7 swap cams. A custom cam is never a bad idea. Keep in mind that your stock pcm poops out at 7000rpm.

If your interested in the cc306 like you said then I would say go for it. I had the cc306 long before I had my heads. The car sounded awesome and wasn't difficult at all to drive. The car ran a 12.6 without heads and a 12.1 with heads.
These numbers aren't all that great but I have yet to have the car dyno tuned, these numbers are off my own tunes.

i would be more concerned about sounding like a 10 sec. car and running like a hotcammed car.its not a bad thing but still.
lots of people make the mistake of buying a cam that is listed at the bottom of a cam book page.....like i stated before its his car,he is dead set on a cc306 which to me is a cam that is OVERKILL for the relatively mild set up.
Shon Sherron runs 11.80s with a stock cam/heads w/weight reduction!
Stock Lt1 w/cam,gear etc.maybe run a 12.50
