Default Took the LT1 for a lil drive....

I came home from skool for thanksgiving break and i decieded to throw on the street tires and take the LT1 for a small backroad ride... and wow i totally forgot how powerful this thing is... with cold 18inch wheels on i spun the tires at 25mph roll... i never remember it being that powerful.... but it was awesome!

cnt wait until the spring! January i plan on having the tranny shipped out to CPT for a pro race rebuild and when i have it reinstalled have them throw in a 3600 vig, a tranny cooler, and a tranny temp gauge... the new goal is 12's by the end of next season on bolt on's and stock gears

Werd, I finally got my ignition switch back together on my Z, hadn't fired it up in prolly over a month. It was rainy and cold/nasty out so I didn't drive it. But it was nice to hear it roar again. I'm sure the neighbors were happy. LOL

funny, i did the same thing. i havent gone wot in about a month or so, i nailed it from a stop with cold tires on a really cold night (i think like 29 or so). I instantly lost traction and the rear kicked out. I corrected and it kicked out again. I shifted into to second and it kicked out slightly and then decided to hook up and go. It was alot fun, and i forgot how fast the car goes to 60 mph.. and 100.. haha.

yea it was a good time... i felt like a lil kid, got that nervous feeling when the tires broke loose so unexpectedly... and what a feeling it is!

i still cant believe even at like a 25mph roll they broke loose... it was wicked cold out with ice cold tires.... prolly why

when it gets cold outside traction becomes a issue. My car is useless in first gear when its below 45 degrees out.

im on 2yr old sumitomo passenger car tires it doesnt even have to be cold for me to get some serious slippage. i was with a friend in his camaro when it was raining outside the other day and he has some bridgestone potenzas made for wet traction on the car right now. i was stunned by the traction he was getting!

i just went out for a drive last night and it was about 30 degrees with bfgoodrich KDW's and even 2nd gear was virtually worthless, its sort of fun but it would have sucked if i was racing someone and traction would have been nice

Took mine for a spin today, nicer weather and sheeyaaat, I think I opened a few eyes a little wider behind me on the highway....55ish MPH dropped in 2nd and just about went into the next lane. Got 315's on the back with about half their life left on'em.

I just got my transmission rebuilt by a local guy with an edge 3400 stall converter..with the converter I can spin my brand new winter tires through first and second in about 45 degree weather..it is amazing what a converter can do.

I got mine back last week from the trans shop....better than before and the Vig's stall has been changed from 3600 to 4000..All I can say is that I can't wait til next Spring to try it out at the track, but its pretty damn fun on the street...Had it out Saturday and all I can say is dayum....
