Default 97 to 94 lt1 engine swap

hey i bought the body of a 97 camaro and an engine out of a 94 camaro that i will be putting in. im building the engine at the moment and im coming closer to putting it in. however, im unsure of a few things....mainly the wiring. i have a 94 computer and 94 wiring harness for the engine and i would like to know how to make this work with the dash harness out of my 97. the connections all match up but i was told i may have to switch some pins on the connections to have everything work properly. so someone please feel free to fill me in on whatever its going to take to make this happen. i know its possible but this is my first f-body build so im unsure of a few things. also, will i pass emissions and be able to use a modis scanner to check codes and view engine data. thanks to anyone that can help me out

97 Camaro's all have OBD II setup.
94 computer/wireing/engine is OBD I
You wont pass emission without doing a illegal pass.

I'm doing it other way soon 97 into a 94 v6. What you need to do is get the 97 obd2 harness and you can do an obd2 to obd1 ecm converion. or get an obd2 ecm. The timing chain cover is differant as well. If your like me (live in an emissions county) you have to do the entire swap, so they can hook up under the dash to read the ecm to pass obd1 just get it up the tail pipe.

I thought it was illegal to go backwards in a swap like put a 94 motor in a 97 due to emissions..If you do not have emissions then it doesn't matter. In order for it to be legal is to do the obd2 swap to the lt1. I live in Illinois with no emissions for vehicles older than 96, so it really doesn't matter what I do to my car which is nice.
