Default header install help about to go crazy!!!!

well me and a buddy are trying to put hooker longtubes on and are about to burn the thing down. we got the factory stuff out no problem but cant get the new stuff in. i have looked at all the write ups and instructions and nothing is helping. im thinking about dropping the motor out the bottom at this point, installing them, and puting it back in. has anybody else done it this way??

i have never had a problem installing them through the bottom. remove starter, oil dipstick, and plugs and wires for the passenger side and oil filter, plugs and wires for the driver side. like others have said, taking the old stuff off was the hardest part.

all LT1 long tubes i have seen are a standard port. works out nice because they will work with the LT1 d-port heads and standard sbc heads if you ever want to drop in a nasty SBC.
