What the **** is so hard to believe that a built camaro can beat a new STOCK Zo6. Out of the 10 different C6 Zo6's that I have seen at the track not 1 of them has got into the 11's. Most of the guys that have a new ZO6 have more money than common sense and they can't drive for ****.
So, good kill Merv, and to the guy that Merv beat, stop crying. If you know your car can not get traction DON'T ******* DRAG RACE A CAR THAT IS SET UP FOR DRAG RACING

In all reality, LT1's run 9's and 10's and just because you gave up on yours doesn't mean other people will do the same.

hey merv, good to see you back in the LT1/LT4 section again. yeah I just read the long thread, and called them some nut swingers

Nice kill on the zo6 merv, but honestly I would expect a built lsx on slicks to smash on a
c6zo6. Stock for stock the zo6 is a god of all cars! when you star modding, which is what most do around here, the playing field becomes even. Hell for 80,000 I could build a streetable nine second F-body, and still have money to buy a daily driver! None the less nice kill...

Uhm your old motor is still on a engine stand. Its very slowly making it towards the car though, the 58mm TB is here, need to find a shop in FL to port the intake out. Been working on my truck, soon as thats back on the road I can start pulling the Z28 apart and we'll see how well that LT1 you built holds up to a 200 shot.

Thanks guys. To be honest with you..the Slicks didn't hook up that well, we both spun the same distance. Once I got goin, I literally chased him down and passed him, the Camaro just has more power, plain and simple. I'm working on some Suspension to lift the Tires..
As far as the turds here..that is pretty much how a few of them are. Come to find out the one guy on there with 2 Mustangs in the Sig..in all reality the Cobra is wrecked, and the GT is crap..so basically it's just a bunch of jealous people wanting to be fast.
I know there are some bad-*** LT1's out there, but for my Budget, this build was cost-effective, and it's doin real well.
