Hey man just realized you were from Grinnel. I live in Perry which is just west of Des Moines by about 30 mins. You should post in the Midwestern Members section. Big Iowa thread going on there.

OP, the two main ones are MadZ28 and PCMforless. Heard great things about both.

madz28 is closer to you. he is located sort of in the middle of Illinois. i think PCMforless is located in california(i think). your probably better off going with madz28. you will get your stuff a bit faster if your in a rush.

Both PCM For Less and Mad Z28 are great tuners. I've heard before that MadZ28s tunes weren't quite as spot on as PCM For Less's, at least for the LT1s anyway, but I don't know if that is/was true or not.

This is all specific to certain individuals. Some people have had better luck with one the other. It's probably all related to specific combos they had though and other subtleties. Both are excellent choices.

Exactly, there are so many variables in tuning there's no telling.

I believe PCMforLess (Bryan Herter for LTXs) is in Pennsylvania.

I went with Bryan, one reason is because the computer that was in the car was already done by him once when i got it..So i sent it back, another reason is I had a few friends have theres done by him and i was really impressed. I have never gotten to see the difference with a madz28 tune, but it seems like a lot of people here got there's there so i imagine hes really good also.

I've been going to PCMForLess for years and their tunes have always been very reliable.

OP - why do you think you need a tune? Shouldn't really with the mods you list.

Even a bone stock lt1 can benefit a lot from a quality tune...rich as hell with lazy timing is not the best for power

Not to knock on pcmforless, but the guy who owned my camaro before me told me he had the car tuned (really never looked at the computer yet to see if it actually is) and it runs richer than ****, I need to find a good tuner in the chicagoland area for a good price in the late spring / summer for a tune. I know straightline is one of them.

Not to knock Ion @Madz28,but my first tune ever, I had him do..and it was FAT, and it was just bolt-ons.
Slingshot928-Speed Inc or Finishline Performance are in the CHI area as well.
