Mario, listen up. One of the mods gave you a 7 day vacation, but I'll extend it to forever if you start up some sh%%talking thread in here ago. Keep that stuff on street racing boards, this is a serious racing event, and they don't need the negative promotion coming from threads like this. Speaking as a freelance writer for GMHTP, I don't really like to see stuff like that either.

I don't know why he feels like he has something to prove...I mean it's just an event. I know everyone is siked about it, but to actually start $hit about how you will beat anyones car and break the record. Come on is he serious? Well I know that there will be some fast cars there and to be completely honest I hope Tony Shepherd gets the new record. I only wish I could get that close to the record. But for him to work that hard for something and to be soooo close. It would be a nice reward for his HARD work over the years. Not to sound like I don't want anyone else to win the record, But Tony has been around for a while and from what I hear about him, He's a good guy. So GOOD LUCK to everyone!

apparently i now share it with vince mcauley, ironically another canadian. his was a carbed setup. i think he was doing something in the LS1 side of things. don't know for sure.

he too went 9.08. until Tony mentioned it a few weeks back i wasn't even aware of it

i can relate to busting your a$$ to achieve a personal goal, i am sure we all are. car went 9.08, 9.15, and 9.16 on 10/28/07. and then the rain came, each pass i was able to get the car to pick up et and mph.

I've been following this guys threads a bit but have refraind from saying anything. I hope the 7 day vacation lets him cool down. He was even starting to annoy me, made me think about putting a 300 shot and some slicks and skinnies on my car...

Money for one, for second my goal was for more than going fast in a straight line with this car, and for three I don't feel like having to trailer it home after 3 runs. I don't think the rotating assembly I have in there would take more than a 150 shot with the power I'm making right now. Could be wrong but I don't want to find out
