Default When is it time for Throttle Body and Injectors

I have mods in sig and I was just wondering when you actually get decent power gain from a bigger TB and how close are my injectors to maxing out right now. Also when is it time for new ignition setup, is there any gain to go a box and new coil? Thanks for the help

I would say that your injectors are fine. They sould not be maxed out yet. As far as getting power from a tb. I dont think you will ever see a huge gain from one. But with an na car like yours all the air you can get to the motor the better. I think you will see somthing like 10 rear wheel hp gain from the tb. Maybe a little more.
In regards to a box and new coil. I dont think their are any real big gains from them when your not really moving a tone of air and gas through the motor. Most people upgrade becasue they have to becasue they are getting their spark blown out(boost) or if they are not getting a complete burn in the combustion chamber.
I hope this helps. Im no car expert and i could be wrong on some of the stuff I said but this is what i have learned thus far. Maybe some one else can chime in and educate us more.

you dont need injectors unless you are at atleast 400 RWHP
basically depending on how much horsepower you are making determines how big of an injector you need.

as far as a throttle body......depends on the cam you got. you MIGHT benefit from a 52mm tb but unless you got big cubes and are moving a ton of air then you would need a 58mm. other than that it dont hurt to try them out and see.
hope this was helpful

do you have access to a scan tool? I use LT1 Edit(for OBDI) in my '96 Z28. I was getting 100% duty cycle with my SVO 24# so I went to SVO 30#'s. Now I'm at 70ish % duty cycle. You don't want to run your injectors above 85% duty cycle at WOT.

mighty, i take it you are either spraying a dry system, or have your fuel pressure at the stock pressure?

OK heres what I have...the mods in sig, Im probably at about a little over 400hp at engine. Im gonna need injectors anyway considering car has 94000 miles on em. Should I get an afpr? I think im gonna get a better fuel pump too because even though I replaced it 1 year ago its not holding pressure while off considering I have to prime at least 3 times for a cold start. Just wondering what I should do right now. Cam is a 224/230 112lsa xe grind (.536/.545 lift I believe)
heads ported and polished by me with 3 angle valve job. Jet Hot Long tube headers, then the basics like intake exhaust 85mm maf. So just wondering what I should do next to pull some power out of it. After gears go in and dragradials get mounted I should hit an 11.9 no prob on a good run, but I want 11s consistently so I just need about another 30 hp maybe not even that much after I get it tuned. Thanks for replies
