Default lt1 rebuild?

my motor has 171k miles on it and im wanting to do a complete le1 or something comparable power wise setup on the car and spray a 150 shot at it, my question is staying stock cubes whats the cheapest best way to freshen up my motor, btw if at all possible i want to not use a machine shop.

do you know anyone thats used it, and is it ready to install or does it need to be machined

well that kit is to freshen up the bottem end...not completley rebuild it...yes it is ready to install...but it is always a good idea to hoane the cylinders...as for the crank and rods...it depends on the condition of them...the crank could be turned and would be fine..you would just need oversized bearings...same for the rods...as long as there in good shape

so if i bought this what else would i need? to "freshen it up" and if i get it turned what kinda places do that and does the kit have oversized bearings?

i like that but im just wanting to freshen it up not rebuild it i want be spinning the motor past 6300 either...so will this kit allow me to do that and also maybe spray a 125 wet shot....if not what else will i need to do

just in a hurry, and want to do it as cheap as possible(im 18 and have a gf of a year) moneys alittle tight

i dont remember who said this but im gonna quote it "Cheap and performance dont go hand in hand" But as far as you spraying nitrous i have no idea...im ignorant when it comes to that stuff..lol

You want to spray a fairly large shot and do a half *** refresh on a motor with almost 200k miles?

How about this...
Spend the 750 on the nitrous kit, spray what you got, and buy a complete short block and 1700 dollar heads later, when it goes up in pieces.

Or buy the 750 nitrous and 1700 buck heads now, spend 500 on a half *** refresh, and buy a short block later, when it goes to pieces. Oh... and 600 or so to rebuild the heads which will be damaged by the lower end coming apart.

Second way costs more... and may not last as long as the first way.

And one way or another, if you want to make power on spray, and have the motor live, you're gonna have to spend around 3 grand on a forged bottom end.
