suggestions for cam swap

well here is my setup that im throwing in. any input would help a ton!
-Crane Gold 1.6RollerRockers w/ stock studs *currently on car
-Manely Valve Springs max lift .575 *currently on car
-Titainium Retainers *currently on car
-comp cams 7.200 hardened push rods
- cc503 cam
-new gm timing chain
-all the proper gaskets

Is this still a stock cubic inch motor? Or a 383? What heads are you running? Rear gear ratio? Intended use of vehicle/rpm of the motor you would like to turn?

stock motor, stock untouched heads, 4:11 gears, dd/ weekend track, 6200 rpm

Well I use a different cam company than anybody else on this forum, I like the tech people there, and have had great success running their custom grinds. This is what I would personally use:

adv. duration 286/288
@.050 duration 218/226
lift w/1.6 rockers .544"/.568"
LSA 111* + 4* (107 ICL)
RPM range idle-6400 (peak at 5700 rpm + 500 rpm for shift timing = 6200 rpm)

I like my 503, small enough to not rev to the moon, has a very usable power band, and its big enough to gain lots more power if you decide to get ported heads.

Sorry, I don't have a vid of this cam.

My camcorder is in Norfolk, VA with my cousin who is in the Navy. He was out "touring" the world so to speak. As far as drag strip results go, well I don't have any yet for it. We are supposed to get a new track built this year, it will be added to the NHRA circut by 2009. The Top Fuel guys and the Stock Eliminators probably won't start racing on it until 2010 or 2011.
