Default LT1 Brake Question

Ok guys, I have done the research thing and cant find anything solid...Its more geared toward us LT1 guys so I didnt post this in the brake section as I wanted some testimonials from you guys about what brakes your running...I desperately need to upgrade my brakes...I just wanna do a rotor and pad swap..I have pretty much decided on Hawk HPS Pads but Im confused on what rotors to go with..

I see that Brembo blanks are popular but the only one who has them for the LT1 that I can find is tirerack..They seem to do great but I want some bling

http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resul...5&autoModClar=

The other set that Im contemplating is from the WS6store because they are cross drilled and slotted...I know all the horror stories of cracked rotors from the drilling and stuff but this car is mainly just a weekend driver and I dont do any hard braking at all..I just want something better than stock..and I love the look of the cross drilled and slots...I may hit the 1320 once a year for a couple of runs so no need for freaking huge powerful brakes..just something better than stockers..as they are horrible..here is a link to the ws6store ones 170 for all four and they seem to have good reviews..I emailed the owner and he stated the few folks that experience cracking problems were do to them using them very extensively as they are only intended for stock replacement/slightly better than stock braking

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...d4524afcdf67e0

or there is always the ebay deals from R1 concepts that seem pretty nice although Im not a fan of buying brakes from ebay

WS6 store drilled/slotted rotors are great all around.

or you can just get OEM replacements.

Yeah I know but I dont really want blanks..I want cross drilled and slotted for the bling factor to be honest..just cant really find to many folks who have used the ws6store ones..there about 43 dollars a rotor so I imagine they are pretty decent as I dont do any heavy or hard driving

the guys i know that use them havent had any problems with them as far as DDing them and only using thier cars for the weekend/few strip days.

have you thought of upgrading the fronts to the LS1 calipers? would be way better, and you can get the LS1 drilled/slotted -LT1 rear drilled/slotted rotors from them too.

to be honest I havent looked a ton into it...Im familiar with the C5 swap but I never have really got into the brake aspects of these cars as my other cars were fast enough for anything more than stock..now I have surpassed that point and just need something better than the stock stuff as some lady pulled out in front of me the other night and I actually had to swerve around her as the car wouldnt slow down fast enough and I was only doing like 35mph..how difficult is the ls1 swap maybe i need to research that

I did the R1's on my 94 Formula when I had it, and I put 15k miles on them with TONS of hard breaking and strip runs, and they didnt warp, crack or anything. Those things were awesome!

did you get them from R1 directly or from R1 through their ebay sells..they seem to be legit as well so they were a consideration

and is there a write up anywhere about the lt1 ls1 swap I cant find one

I have the WS6store rotors with some autozone brake dust hell pads and i'm very happy with them..had them for months now, no cracks no squeaks and they seem to always shine with no chemicals to clean them
