Tranny I am about to install my new 383 and i want to rebuild a 4l60e to have around so that way when it decides to go out i will have it ready to go. So i put a thread in the trans section and nobody helped me out so i figured i would give this a shot. I have a 95 a4 and i need it to hold 500hp. Does anbody know any sites that sell GOOD rebuild kits for the 4l60e??? Plz

With this tranny the guy doing the work easily means as much or more than the parts used. A LOT of shops out there who thow the "best" parts at it and turn out JUNK. I have a ProBuilt Automatics, actually a lot of stock or stock style parts but it is over 4 years old and working perfectly still.
I am not claiming it is magic, the guy who did mine sells rebuild kirts and will sell you the manuals and make every effort to help you do a good job yourself, but you have to be detail oriented and do it right. Slap it together down and dirty with great parts and it wont work.

i have bought parts from this guy and he is very knowledgable and helpfull. if you want to rebuild yourself then go with one of his kits and it should meet your hp requirements.

When I first heard of Monster they were blocking accumulation, doesn't specifically list that on their site not but ALL the good 4L670E builders recommend against that.
FLT and Rossler do good work too.
There are two CPTs one Cahall and the other Carolina Performance Transmissions.

I was wandering around Monster's site and found their "shift kits" they sell the baby Transgo "fixit" kit that is not really a shift kit just fixes factory annoyances for $155, that kit is available for $40 elsewhere. JUNK dealers nothing more.
