You're an idiot, there is only one block casting(even Vette 4-bolt and LT4 are the same one), the heads have all the same accessory holes and stuff. The intakes are the same, etc. As said the balancer hubs are different so you need the right one for the accessory bracket.

Wow whats up with the name calling?? And I actually used to respect your opinion until that smartass comment...I never said anything about the short block not being the same...Evryone knows they are basically the same...I said nothing matched up on my two as in the computer harness and sensors water pump etc and what not...The motor that was sent to me was for an OBD2 out of an impala car and mines and OBD1 car..because the idiots that I bought it from were only worried about money and not what the customer wants...I was gonna simply swap the two motors and found out that the two were rather different and a full swap was not as easy as I thought..and the idiots I bought it from would not swap it and send me the right motor that I requested..so i sold it and built my stocker up

You thought any of that stuff that was different mattered????

Use your parts simple as that, it was easy, you just didn't take the time to accept that and threw your hands up in the air declared someone else stupid for sending it too you and gave up.

Most of the sensors are the same, the pcms are the same part, swap accessory brackets and balancer hubs WP and done, miniscule amount of effort compared to swapping the engines.

Hello, the point of it was that I didnt get the motor that I paid for...they didnt send me what I ordered and I decided to go another route after their mistake...At that point in time I didnt know these engines like I do now and their interchangeablity..not everyone is a master of these engines like yourself...My knowledge of the LT series was limited at that point in time..isnt that why we are here..to learn...get off your high horse for a minute and try and help someone out and quit being such an ***..and the camaro harness will not interchange with some of the sensors and harnesses on the Impala motor..we tried to swap them out and there were different types of sensors as the two computer systems were different

so in an answer to his question..no you cant drop the motor straight in and hook it up like he was wondering...there is some work and different things involved
