Default Dear Pacesetter...

I just finished up my 5 day install of my new coated pacesetter LTs and ORY. Got everything heat wrapped, moved, tightened, secured, etc... real super clean install

Been waiting for a week to crank it up, and when I did, it sounded very familiar...It sounds exactly the same with my LTs as it did with manifolds... What the hell?

I have no codes, we lengthened my O2s without the plug in extension, did it the old school way, solder. Looks friggin nice.

It just sounds the same, except quieter... Anyone else have these results?

Quieter at idle louder at WOT. I noticed a real nice performance gain with the swap.

I've only listened to it at idle and up to about 1500k. I haven't got a chance to go drive it as I've got a spark coming from my #1 plug under my alternator, want to find that first. Think I cracked the plug jamming that damn passenger side in.

Well, I know its definately too quiet at idle. I've got a custom exhaust shop willing to build me a catback. Perhaps that will solve the problem.

Can i answer?

Got mine from bunspeed,375 shipped to my door.

Install was a PITA, but now that i know how to do it,piece of cake. Most the longtube install writeups are terrible and give no detail.

TexasSpeed.com

Now that I've done the install once, it will be much easier the first time.

Major pain in the ***. This **** better be worth it. I hate this ******* car when it comes to working under the hood. I love all the little spikes that stab you while you're on your back reaching into the black hole. And the K-member that eats everything. And how you can't lean against anything without breaking it.

It took me 3 hours to get the EGR hooked to the header. That damn bolt would not go into the hole. Ofcourse I did this all by myself, I reckon it would be quicker with some help.

After shipping and taxes it cost me $567.38 for Coated LTs and Off Road Y. Then about $50 in clamps to hold everything together, they do provide some clamps but they suck. About $100 in head sheild wrap. $206.99 for the Cutout...

Oh yeah, I got my cutout COD... Apparently if you're money order is for $207.00 they will not accept it... One Damn Penny and they can't make it work. So Now I gotta Drive 35 miles to town and get the old money order voided and get a new one and pay all the fees... Then find the UPS center and go there and deal with their ****. my god, total bullshit... One penny....

And I've still gotta have a new catback built soon... so like another $200 or more

So about $1100 all-together...

****, I didn't realize I spent that much. Ohwell, hopefully it'll be alot better.

5 day install? - wow...

I think i did mine in a day...- but depends - if you wrapped yours & still had your plug's in and what not- space is pretty tight.. lol

They will sound pretty much the same unless you have a cam- then you tell the difference...

I've got a fairly healthy cam. I took out the back spark plugs but left the front couple in and smacked them by accident. I worked about 3 hours a day on it... so not a full 5 days.

I built my O2 harness and it turned out friggin nice. Works like it should, no codes. I wrapped all my wires that were remotely close and built heat shields on top of all that. I also relocated AC lines away from the front primary. Re-routed all my plug wires. Relocated a couple fuel lines away from the y-pipe. All kinds of little things.

-Rick

Its sounds nice, sounds more clear compared to the manifolds. The cam lope sounds more distinct.

I'm going the extra mile to make sure everything is right and clear. I gotta drive this thing far pretty often.

I guess I misinterpreted this part, then. My mistake.
