Under Drive Pullies
So I Got My Under Drive Pullies Installed Today At The Shop Along With A New Opti Spark And Im Going To Go Pick My Car Up After Work And Was Just Wondering Anyone Else With Pullies Notice Any Performance Difference? Like It Is Noticeable On The Butt Dyno? And I Heard It Is Supposed To Rev Faster Is That True Also? Thanks!

Have both the crank and alternator pulley! I dont know if you could say you could feel it from the seat, but deffinately should see atleast a 5hp difference on the dyno. And it only makes sense for it to rev faster b/c its less revolution for the crank to turn, but dont quote me on that! Its deffinately worth the 100 buck imo!

I have a set as well... I'm not sure what name brand b/c I bought it used but I could tell a difference. It did rev faster and the powerband felt to be smoother. However I did have a charging issue with mine at first. Just had a buddy tune my computer for about 150 rpm more over stock settings. Of course the one I got was 34% UD crank pulley and the OD Pulley was brand new from Thunder Racing ($20.00). Not sure how much you'd gain...but every car is different. My .02 though. If you have issues with charging hell you could always do what I did with the idle or sell them on here.

with just the pulley swap, you won't notice anything. it will rev slightly quicker, but only with no load on the motor. don't expect it to redline any faster on the road lol. i have both the UD pulley and elec. w/p and the w/p definitely made a difference.

I didnt notice anything with mine really....with the charging issues and the power steering being harder at near idle I say they arent worth it..I just didnt feel that mine was worth it but im sure it helps some..just not noticeable

I don't know if anyone said it, too tired to read sorry, but the UD pulley that's integrated into the balancer is a much better upgrade that the UD pulley that bolts over. Reason being is it is adding on more rotating weight, which is only hurting the gain. I think the pulley+balancer version is like 10+hp gain simply because of that. I HAD a link for one, it was $160, which isn't bad IMO. I can't remember if it was a fluid one or not.

ASP 945103 is the one I have. Integrated pulley, balancer is smaller than the original= less mass, 23% crank-15% alt. Noticed quicker throttle response and faster rev. They have been on 5+ years no issues, and I even have heated seats!

Under-drive pulleys and EWPs are a common performance upgrades for drag racing and will "free-up" some extra HP (whether you can fell it or not).
Freeing-up a few HP here and there (little things) and before you know it you’ve reduced your ET a tenth.
Then you do some more little things and squeeze-out another tenth and you keep getting your car going faster and faster! And that is how it works, you do “every little” possible thing (weight reduction, whatever) no matter how small it is, to get every ounce of performance out of your car.

Additionally, if you're drag racing you don't need the alternator running the factory drive ratio (too many RPM). This alternator pulley is 40% under-drive.

funny? as in wrong or just bluntly put lol? "The Engineer" so you would spend that kind of money for 1-2 gain IF any? you are talking in general when you say under drive pulleys are a common upgrade but you are failing to realize that the LT1 has a gear driven water pump not a belt driven, so you arent freeing up anything but ac and power steering. Also the LT1 already has a small alt. pulley so you wont get anything out of these kits.

How do these "one or two" HP I've gained look in this photo? 10.80s all N/A How fast are you going?
