I have the original "Callaway Honker" now bought by Moroso. But like everyone said, they're all the same, same concept....COLD AIR.

Default Lpe Cai

FYI - I think that "guy" is probably me (ling_perf). That is our (LPE's) eBay store (we actually have two eBay selling accounts but only one eBay store).

Do you know when your intake become a restriction? Everyone on here seems to think lt1 cai's are a restriction at higher power levels but I'm not buying into that. I'm running your's and it seems very open around the bend, along with the 90mm openings on each end so I would think it flows enough for most high horespower applications.

Default ebay LPE seller id

That is our other eBay account (not our eBay store). Tim Dyer, our sales manager, is responsible for that account.

Default Intake restriction

Air filters and air intakes don't really become a restriction at a given power. The amount of restriction/pressure drop increases as the airflow increases so the more power you make, the more restriction for the same inlet design.

A single large cone filter like we are using on the LT1 Camaro/Firebird air intake is usually rated at 450 to 500 hp. That is the hp range we normally use that air intake on.

Also keep in mind that other restrictions exist in the system (throttle body, intake manifold, cylinder heads) so the air inlet may not be the biggest restriction as you start to go up higher in power.

It has been a while since I compared our LT1 air intake to all of our competitors but I am fairly certain we are still using the largest cross section/filter area filter of any of our competitors.

I like my LPE intake but I have to be honest, it will be coming off the car within the next few months but thats only because I am going turbo. Otherwise it would stay on the car for a long, long time.

Will it work on your car though? I mean right now my car is running speed density but its really stretched to do that. It might work on your car but I am not sure..
