msd opti?
msd opti? i am buying a used lt1 that has a brand new looking vented opti on it and has an MSD cap on it. how can i tell if it is an MSD opti or just the cap and rotor. no big deal , just curious.
The MSD opti base is billet and the wiring is different from stock, a sealed harness comes out of the base rather than weatherpack connection on the base like stock.
it is NOT an upgrade. I am all for the cap and rotor but the base is no good especially not for the $300+ it cost($450-500 minus the $150 for the cap and rotor). For every guy swearing it is great there are several pushing a stock base harder and further without issue.
