Cool roller rockers ?

my block is stock so far and ive been told that going from a 1.5 ratio to a 1.6 i dont need to replace the valve springs. is that true and i have 63000 miles on the motor. oh and what do you guys/gals think about Howards Cams Aluminum rockers and scorpion rockers?

If your car is stock and just adding bolt ons, you'll be fine. Alot of people have done this mod (1.6 roller rockers) w/ stock springs including myself in the beginning. Be sure to get the self alignning rockers, Crane Gold Race is a good one.

NSA is arguably better, but requires machining for guide plates and using hardened pushrods.

I personally would drop in a set of LT4 springs for peace of mind at a cost of 60 bucks or so; I mean, you're gonna spend a couple hundred bucks on the rockers, might as well use fresh springs with a little more lift capacity over the tired stock springs.
