Default fuel pump???

I will be swapin in my Lt1 into my 97 RS V6 soon. I know that the V6 fuel pump wont be enough to feed the V8 with the mods I have. My question is will I be better off going with a OEM replacment fuel pump witch will cost me $250 or should I just go with a Granatelli 255 witch will only cost me $125. Also do I need to upgrade my injectors if I go with a larger fuel pump?

My mods are as follows:
Fully rebuilt 355 Lt1
Hotcam kit
Pacesetter LT's
ORY
Magnaflow cat-back
CAI

255 walbro pump...you will be ok with stock injectors....

This is where I get confused. I can only find the Walbro pump for ricers. Where can I find a decent price with the wiring kit?

Are you talking about a Racetronix wiring harness? If so, go to racetronix.com

I agree with Schweet97Z. That pump is a bit more than what you need on one hand, on the other it is cheaper than an oem, and will handle any future mods should you choose to do so. Stock injectors will work fine with your setup as will a stock throttlebody. You can get some throttle response from going to a larger tb, but it does not change your power at all, and the stocker flows enough to support 450 ponies, which you will be well under
If you have not yet bought headers and a quality catback that would be the next beneficial upgrade to your setup, and a good CAI would help the cause as well.
If at any time in the future you would ever consider throwing juice on it I woul also highly recoommend that you stay away from a hypereutectic piston, as the silicone content in them is too high for that kind of cylinder pressure. For an NA motor they are fine.

For the original poster... the 255 Walbro pump will be a good buy, better than the stock replacement at a better price. I don't know, however, if the V8 Walbro kit will drop into your V6 fuel sender/pump bracket assembly gracefully; be prepared to do some modding to your bracket if need be, and don't try this when you HAVE to drive the car the next day.
