Default Por-15 + Y

My Y pipe is the only part of my exhaust that isn't coated or SS.
Just wondering will POR-15 stand up to the task and not burn off.
I've seen reports thats it survived over 10 hours at 700*.
Any of you guys had any luck with it ?

Rob

i know it will come off if you have an oil leak on it. We did a frame in it and it just came off, i didn't care for it but try it and let us know.

I tried it on my headers, held up for a little while, but is pretty much gone after a few months except for close to the head flanges.

POR 20 is what you want, It will last just fine on the Y pipe. I've used it on my headers as well with limited success, I can't find a way to prep that works well. It stays on rock solid some places on the header and flakes off on others. I'm trying it on my turbo hot parts but I am curing them at 500f

yeah the high temp POR 20 is what I used on the headers. Sandblasted them before putting it on too. still flaked.
