Default Pig rich cough, cough??

I just put some LT headers on my T/A with out no pipes, y-pipe has not came yet and it is running very rich to the point it just about shuts off in closed loop, open lope it idles fine still rich, LTFT shows 160 for both banks and the o2 sensor shows 200 to 380 MV close lope. Here it is, I had shorties before that were crack thats why I swap to LT headers, the o2 only have about 5000 miles no problems they check out fine I think it is the PCMforless program it was running rich before with the headers bad rich. I was woundering if any body has any suggestions or has experienced this problem.

When you say the o2 sensor "shows 200 to 380 MV" do you mean the reading never goes above 380mv?

Yeah, never goes above 380 MV. All of this is done at idle, I do not want to drive it running this rich and it is to loud with no y-pipe.

Hi,
The problem is in the lack of the pipes. With open headers the O2's are picking up a ton of O2 and reporting back a false lean and the PCM is adding a ton more fuel than needed. Till you get the pipes unplug the O2's to hold the car in open loop to help prevent this.

Also, if you have not added a fresh set of O2 sensors I would do so. Give the coating on the headers a bit of time to burn off and then freshen them up with a new set as the coatings are killing O2 sensors often and really wrecks havoc with the closed loop system.
