Pretty much everyone will tell you Flowmaster is crap, especially the 80 series muffler. I have just the muffler on my car from when I bought it. It sounds good idling but there's too much cackle for me when driving around. I'm going with a GMMG system before spring but its out of your price range. If I were you, I'd save up a little more cash and get something stainless and better flowing.

WOW! Complete crap!

Dyno's only showed 8RWHP at 420RWHP between FLow and open pipe at the muffler

I'm not saying they are total crap, just there are better options out there. I'd rather get a Hooker for a hundred more than spend the money on the Flowmaster, IMHO...

Im thinking about saving for a SLP Loudmouth II exhaust. From what I have read these are supposed to be good to. I am a little nervous regardless of what exhaust I buy because after the $450 your stuck with it. Also good time to ask: is there any alternatives to the$100 or $95 conversion kit for the 1994 Camaro for the Loudmouth? I think thats crazy for a bent pipe and a hanger but what do I know??

I don't think he has headers yet. The WS6 store has the LM2 on sale for 389 and the conversion kit for ~76. Although if you look around there is always a used Loudmouth for sale somewhere. You could probably take your car to a shop and have em fab up the little pipe to connect to the cat. Some exhausts such as the Magnaflow and Hooker already have the little "s" bend in the i-pipe when you buy it.

I had Flowmaster american thunder before, it sounded alright but it fell apart after a year, POS system. Go Magnaflow, stainless steel so it lasts forever and sounds great. I would also consider Hooker as well. I wouldnt go with any Loud Mouth if you plan to get LT's it will be very raspy and IMO Loudmouth sounds terrible.

spudnick: hows it going man still going to PSU lv?

I ran the american thunder catback for about 3 years. Mine didn't fall apart and it sounded damn good behind the bbk shorties.

I replaced my cutout and flowmaster with a bullet, I like it but some people who have heard both don't like the sound coming out of the car now, they miss the flowmaster sound.
Just a opinion out there from someone who ran it for awhile. I kinda miss the sound myself.

I got the hooker setup for my car. It sounds realy good, not as loud as a flowmaster though. But its only a few bucks more. If i remember right it was 323 shipped to my door from one of our sponsors.
