Default DynoTune Air/Fuel Ratio Lean Shut-Down Switch

Another member suggested this item and I am interested in buying it.

http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...p?idproduct=67

After looking at the install sheet, it said to connect the units purple wire to the O2 sensor wire.

Instruction Sheet:

Anyone know which wire in the harness this is?

I emailed DynoTune, but stangely enough they didn't know the answer.

Hope some one here has one fitted and can help me out.

Rob

Default OK Before I give up on This Idea

Well I suppose if DynoTune didn't know the answer !!!!!
But I really like this unit.
Maybe someone can give me some other info..
I assume that the O2 sensor only has one wire coming from it.
But the O2 extension wire has four wires..
I can see that they mate up with four wire at the engine end, but where do they connect to when it plugs into the O2 sensor ?
I will try and contact DynoTune again to get some info, but hopefully someone here can steer me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

a 4 wire o2 has 1 wire for signal, 1 wire for the heater, and 2 grounds...the 2 blacks are grounds, then theres usually a white and a grey or mabey a white and another color

btw, youre going to have to splice into whatever wire...the other end of the harness is up in the engine harness somehwere intergrated with everything else

Thanks for your input SickboyT/A I appreciate it.
Looks like I'll have to buy a Workshop Manual to see a wiring diagram.
Maybe I'll google it first

If I get any info I post it here.

I am pretty sure the wire you are looking for is purple. The harness is the easies to get to on the pass side. It will come up the fender well right beside the exhaust manifold and go to the pcm.

Yes you want to splice into the purple wire in the harness going into the pcm. When I hooked up my autometer a/f gauge I just pulled the pcm out, found the wire and spliced into it. Think I was using a Chiltons to figure out that I wanted the purple wire.

Thanks Guys

You are absolutely correct, you've sorted out my problem.
Also just in case anyone else is going this route, 01Z28M6 found this little gem that I am also going to get, (I dont trust my splicing)
