Gas Mileage Report...

Well I checked my mileage after the new Headers...

75% was highway, at 80mph+/-
25% was city, normal driving, not taking it easy

I averaged 24.4mpg

Does this sounds reasonable?

I'm running the stock tune with hypertech...

Heads, Cam, Full Exhaust, Auto...

I had all my mods in my sig but the ***** got me.

24.4 is great mileage! what final drive ratio do u have? M6 or A4?

Try it without the hypertech. My car came with a hypertech tune installed. It ran faster and picked up mpg's when I went back to the stock tune.

Yeah i havent seen anything great from hypertech.
And 24 mpg sounds great for a cammed car if you ask me, i think your on the right track

24.4 sounds amazing for a H/C auto. I wish i could get that. I'm only getting around 15 or so with an M6. That's like 95% city though.

Its an A4 with 3:23 gears and aurburn posi.

I took the tune out one time and the engine temp gauge got really hot really fast, I don't even know if it will act right with the 160 stat and no tune...? I really don't know, haven't messed with it much.

I've been told alot to get a real tune, but it busts right off when starting, never stumbles, doesn't run too rich or lean, etc etc... It acts exactly the way its supposed to, and I've seen people with my type of combo have problems even getting them to run long enough to get to the dyno... so I'm not sure whats going on.

It never sets any codes or anything, but one thing I did notice is when we finished the car it took about 150 miles to act right, and it did the same when I added my LTs, about 150 miles and it totally adjusted...
