Default Questions on New Exhaust/headers.

Ok, I wanted to ask you all what you think, and maybe a little advice.
I have a 95 LT1 Z28. Nice intake and hood, and a flowmaster. I want to go to true dual, nice headers and loud as hell. I was thinking hooker headers, true dual all the way back, glass packs and SLP Loudmouth. Any thoughts? I want the little better performance and retarded loud. Also, I like the look of truck tips, so I am going to put those on the end. I know this will dampen the sound a little bit, but I am willing to do that for the sake of the look I want.
Any imput would be appriciated.

I'm not sure what you are describing. True duals and a Loudmouth doesn't make sense.

my bad. I am looking to have true duals, don't know how the cat got in there... sorry, haven't slept much, living in caffiene and nicotine
want headers, true dual, and very loud. that is the ultimate goal. all the other stuff that is already in there in that department will go away

Hooker long tubes, pipe, Dynomax bullet mufflers and turn downs. That will be plenty loud for you.

no glass packs? I was thinking about doing that so I could still keep the sound and use truck tips.

Hooker LT's into a h-pipe...no mufflers. Have your tips welded on to the straight pipes out the back. That would be loud...or that setup minus the h-pipe.

Ive never heard an lt1 with glass packs....but I personally don't care for the sound of glass packs on anything.

If you're just going for loud all you have to do is get rid of the muffler hah.

Also your sig says you're in Cali...don't you have to pass emissions? If so you might want to rethink the whole long tube header thing.

I have actually been running around on stock manifolds dumped at the y-pipe (started a header swap in the winter, bad idea). It's really not crazy loud or anything, but it does reverberate in the cabin at certain rpm's and loads.

have to have a muffler. My car has IL plates, but I have to make the car legal for Cali because I have base stickers... pain in the butt.

I had pacesetter Long tubes, off road y with a dynomax bullet for a resonater, and a flowmaster muffler on my 94Z, and it was pretty damn loud.
