oil cooler???

the coolant lines that run from the radiator to the oil filter adapter and then from the filter adapter to the water pump can it be bypassed and run from the pump to the rad?...would this be a good thing to do or does it actually help cool the oil at all?

Bypass it. Theres a few threads on this. The cooler starts to clog up on it when there older. I know i picked up about 5 more pounds of oil pressure when i took mine off. And as a added bonus it makes the engine bay cleaner looking!

Yea, remove the adaptor and bolt the threaded plate back to the block. Youll need to cut the tabbs off the heads of the bolt for the stockers to work. Youll know what im talking about when you do it. Dont waste your money and buy something you done need. I did mine in like 5 min when i was under there.

What are the benefits of removing the oil cooler lines?? Wont this increase oil temp?

do you read all the posts? I posted it in my 2nd post. And IMO it doesnt raise the oil temp.

Yeah i read it, but i just thought that if it was clogged it would be smarter to replace it. I just figured the oil cooler was there for a reason and i didn't want to yank something like that off if it was detrimental, especially for my daily. But if it just one of those things that ends up causing alot of problems and isn't important then i'll probably just yank it.
