I have run
NA
4 Iron and 2 Aluminum head combo’s all used TR 55 with stock gap with up to 150 Juice and no problems.
Boosted
Iron TT 12 psi MSD box, Iron TT 15 psi MDS box, Iron Vortech 12 psi Delteq, Aluminum Single Turbo 9 psi Delteq all run great with TR 55 gapped @ .035
I prefer using Autolite 106 gapped .035 because it is easier to get a consistent gap, but the TR55 WORK so my preference is for esthetics only.
I tried TR 6 and Autolite 104’s, but couldn’t get them to fire consistently at idle. I tried changing the timing fuel etc always would foul if they idled long (start to foul idling at a lite). Tests were in 8.5 CR boosted vehicles, since TR55 work in a wide range of setups I would recommend keeping it simple use TR55.

If my setup runs rich for whatever reason, I change the plugs, I don't expect MSD or any amount of driving to clean them I can afford to replace them because TR55 are a LOT cheaper than the others. It is a pain to replace them but not that bad once you do it and figure out the combinations of wrenches and sockets.

Interesting thought, but how many people have 'worn out' a set of plugs on an LT1? I contend 1 in 9,999 at best was a plug problem the others were fouled from running rich. No plug is better than another at recovering from fuel fouling IMO.
