o2 sensor problem

o2 sensor problem i replaced the o2 sensor in the pass side header and now it says something about no activity i checked the wires nothing seems to be loose or frayed/melted. how can i check if im getting power to the sensor.
Take a test light hook it to the + side of the battery. Then make sure u are getting power out of the plug. Then hook the test light to the - side of the battery. Then make sure u have a ground coming out of the plug. Make sure ur key is on.
