Yes Sir, you can put any 93-97 LT1 on your 97, the only issue is the LT1 harness's year. Here's the deal: On your 97, because of the under hood harness, you need to come up with a 95-97 engine harness to make it work (Doesn't matter what year the LT1 is). It's always better to "Stay away" from the 93 LT1 for few reasons such as locations of the Oil pressure sensor, fuel lines connections, air pump hoses and so on.. so 94-97 LT1 are a little easier to put on your 97 as long as you use a late 95-97 ENGINE harness.

That or you could approach it vaguely intelligently and just swap the few different pieces from your current motor to the replacement one.
Timing cover, including opti(95 has the same opti 94 is different) timing set(again 95 is the same 94 different) and CPS reluctor, knock sensors, and damper hub.
There was only one LT1 block made, three timing covers and all of it can be made to interchange fairly easily.
Even a 93 would be little problem.
Once you find one let us know and we can be more detailed.
