some of the later f-bodies got the leftover 4 bolts from the corvettes when they started putting ls1's in them. there may be a number in the vin that represents if it is a 2 or 4 bolt, but other than that just take the oil pan off and look. if its a 2 bolt it will have 2 bolts on the main caps, if its a 4 bolt it will have 4, if its an ls1 it will have 6.

My 94 is numbers matching and it has a 4 bolt. My block is a Corvette casting number and the mains do have 4 bolts.

Yeah they really used what they had when they had them. No way to be sure other than to look or get the casting numbers.

There was only one LT block casting, covered the LT1 2 and 4 bolt as well as the LT4.

By the time 4 bolts becomes genuinely a good idea you should be looking at aftermarket caps anyway and might as well go splayed so if anything a factory 4-bolt should be viewed as a NEGATIVE.

Factory 4 bolt blocks can be expensive. I sold one on eBay a while back and it went for $420. Like Grandpa Caprice said, you can convert to splayed caps for that kind of money.
