Default One For You Guys

i have a set of 3.73 getting ready to go into my stock 10 bolt with 160,000 on it already.... y its apart ill be doing all new bearings and just and all around refresh... in about a 2-3 months ill be getting a 3200 or 3600 yank stall converter with my set up in a couple of months what would be the best tires to help save the rear a little bit better nittos or e/t streets?????? my motor as been rebuild along with the trans and motor alone as about 10,000 and trans with about 2,000 miles

for strip or street? If for street no need to run a radial I hook up real good with my Toyo's of course I have suspension too. For track from what I have gathered M/T's hook better which would in theory not save the rear as much as a tire that wouldn't hook so good. I run M/T ET Streets and no problems with the rear yet.

You should be ok with w/e tire you decide to run. auto cars are usually pretty easy on the stock 10 bolt.

At the track with mickies will put that rearend to the test but it should hold up for awhile but what do you have done for power I mean how much torque do you have (ballpark).

MT street radials are much better than the Nittos, if your worried about traction at the track. Put a good cover on the rearend too. Something like the TA cover that has the bearing cap support for the posi. And if you go Yank, get the 3600. With the 3.73 gears, you will be very happy with the way the car drives.

yea i will be running the drs on the track and street tires to the street...just want to see what u guys thought about a better tire for the track, but also not so hard for the rear.... i might use the drs on the street a little bit but not a whole alot

not sure on power or torque, to take a guess maybe around 310hp and 320tq just for a guess, iam not tuned yet so i really have no clue

brandon ill be putting mine on soon i know how the ET streets are, the nittos u just have to get hot, hope to have them on after the snow ans stuff this weekend also nittos can be ran in the rain ET on the otherhand good luck

nitto's are no good for either. if you are worried about your 10 bolt, dont run DR's. DRs last 1-2 oil changes on average.

Good idea, otherwise what's the point of short gears and a nice stall? Ya gotta hook off the line, if you want good track times.

The 4L60E is racebuilt by a local trans shop/a friend and has a 10" 3600 stall/ modified valvebody and other hard parts.
The rear is still the stock 10 bolt w/a 4.10 Motive gear and a T/A girdle cover.
